Please don't come to that conclusion! Printing is *very* high on my
list, and will be *essential* once I get my other work done. I tend to
think that there are a good many others like myself who are just
starting the conversion process from HyperCard to MetaCard. I am trying
to master some of the differences, like not using "idle," etc. (and also
working within the constraints of the 10-line code limit for the starter
kit is also a challenge -- albeit one that I will have to put up with
until my finances take a turn for the better).

Once I get my work transferred and cleaned up, I will have to start on
the printing end. It will be absolutely necessary that one can print the
reports from the program, and that the reports be properly paginated and
styled.

Really though. I don't think anyone should be offended by Jacque's tone.
She is just a bit frustrated by having a tool as fine as MetaCard come
up so short in a vital area. After all, if an antique like Hypercard can
manage print so easily, it ought to be fairly easy to make MetaCard do
the same.

Of course, I realize that I will have to be careful to use common system
fonts in either platform!

I will take a look at Report Generator, but I would be happier to see
more print functionality built into MetaCard.
