I think the problem is probably due to differences between HyperCard and
MetaCard. Not all HyperCard XCMDs and XFCNs will work in MetaCard.

An important point to note is that you rarely need to use a HyperCard XCMD
in a MetaCard stack. MetaCard has a lot more built in functionality, making
the vast majority of the externals out there irrelevant.

So a better question might be, why do you need to use ListSelect? I'm not
familar with that XFCN, but if it has anything to do with list style text
fields or a dialog allowing a user to make a selection from a list, both of
those are best done using the built in functionality in MetaCard. If you
tell us what you want to do, we could come up with some pointers as to the
best way to do it?
