I just want to chip in and support this. I started to play with the starter
kit towards the end of last year. I still can't afford the full version
yet, but as soon as I can....

The fact is, I haven't had so much fun with any product since Hypercard
arrived with my first Mac. (I have written to MacFormat to shame them into
covering it in detail) And the support for Metacard *is* astonishingly good.
Before I knew about the list, I mailed Scott Raney with my first problem
late New Years Eve. OK I live in Lancashire England, so time differences
mean he wasn't at a party yet (or had already been), but I expected a
response in a couple of days, maybe a week. But no. I got it within a few
hours. Remarkable. Shame I was too drunk to understand it until January 6th.

Anyway, aside from this unsolicited testimonial, I do have a question. When
I make a standalone on a PC it starts at 1.3 M and stays there when I quit
Metacard. On the Mac it is created at 1.3 M (or at least is listed in the
window as such). However, when I quit Metacard, it balloons, before my very
eyes to 2.6 M.

Whats this all about then?

Thanks again to Scott and all list contributors for sound advice and
entertainment,

Best wishes
