On HyperCard you could change the loop variable, but on the next
repeat it would be set to the next value again. The technique I'd
recommend is using the multiple of the count variable:
put fld "schedule" into fldVar
put the number of lines of fldVar div 3 into n
repeat with i = 1 to n
get line (i*3) of fldVar
end repeat
Maybe even this may help ;-)
