There is, for a few versions of UNIX. It even pretty much works.
Unlike QuickTime for UNIX, which is MIA.

The other thing to keep in mind is that QT now supports Flash, so the
new "player" control in 2.3 can play Flash movies on Windows and MacOS
systems. Now if we could just get the QT group at Apple to take UNIX
seriously as more than just a server OS...
