Maybe a little. As long as they have System 7.1 or later, most things
should just work. But if you're using the HTTP or socket features
you'll want them to have Open Transport 1.3 or later. And if you're
playing movies, upgrading to QT 3 or later would be a good idea.

Windows 2000 is still (at least) 3 months off, so it's hard to say
exactly what the compatibility issues will be. But based on
experience with the betas we don't anticipate any problems. Certainly
we can't rule out the possibility that you'll need a new engine (maybe
a 2.3.1 release) to run your application on Windows 2000, but as long
as you don't make any unreasonable assumptions in your scripts, you
shouldn't have to change your stacks at all. Things to be careful of
are accessing the Windows Registry, or assuming what directories and
filenames you can use.
