It works fine here. It sounds like there might be something else going on
in your stack that's interfering with this. Is there anything else in the
script after the line "end repeat"? Do you have any scripts that set the
text of the field or change its colors? If the field were really empty, it
wouldn't scroll, because there would be nothing to scroll. When you go back
into authoring mode after the failure, is the field really empty, or has the
text color been changed to match the background color? Or has the text
somehow been replaced with a series of carriage returns?
Maybe these questions will help you diagnose the problem.
