I'd be very surprised if this had happened to me too because based on
what I've read on the Director mailing lists and newsgroups (and
similarly on the ToolBook equivalents), your experience was an
exceedingly rare event. Near as I can tell, only the plug-in versions
(Neuron and Shockwave) have any serious chance of working at all, and
those are of course hobbled by the requirment that the user to
download and install a plug-in.

If this were in fact the case, the world would be a very differnt
place than the one I live in. In all my browsing I've yet to run into
a site that has taking this approach. For comparison, I quite often
run into sites that require QT or Shockwave or Flash or a Real player.

So would I. Maybe Santa Claus will deliver it for Christmas this
year, because he's probably the only one with the special powers
necessary to actually make it happen ;-)
