I profess to be one of those scripters who occasionally asks a question
here, and when I do it's usually strange... and based on my own warped
logic... I also see some others doing that here...
OK, anyway...
When I am typing in a field, is there any way of getting the character
number of the letter I just typed? Not the chartonum... the actual number
of the character in reference to the field. In other words, I type the
letter "a" into field 1 and I get "char 1". I type space and I get "char
2".
The script would live in the field itself.
This may well be impossible. keyDown and rawKeyDown won't return this kind
of info. However, before I work my way around this, I figured it couldn't
hurt to ask here.
