Your best bet for getting the AVI problem solved is to send in a bug
report to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Include the stack and/or the problem
AVI file as an attachment.

Actually it's *probably* possible to make it open in 2.2.X. You just
have to change the version number in the header from "2.3" to "2.1"
using a binary file editor (Emacs will work, most other text editors
won't). This won't work if you've made any changes incompatible with
2.2.X (e.g., created a player control, added a long script, or done
anything with custom property arrays or custom property sets).
