Surely I am the stupid one and not the record sound external I downloaded as part of
the
EX10 collection (from the cross-worlds site). But something is very amiss. The
external
allows you to record a sound, and then you can import it with another script, but I
can't
play the damn thing as it is in AIFF format! The sound plays fine if I use an audio
converter tool and convert it to another format (like NEXT), and then reimport it, but
that
totally destroys the benefit of the external!! The system is a mac G3. I need an
easy way
to record directly into Metacard, just as you can do in super-card. I thought this
external was it. I was very disappointed.
I was also disappointed by the speech external in the same collection, as it doesn't
seem
to allow you to alter the voices for speech as hypercard/supercard do? Or again, I
could
be doing something really stupid.
