I have the following in a card where I made a small polygon arrow to serve
as a "go next" object. initially it was only on this one card and the hide
cammand in the preopencard handler and the show with dissolve in the
opencard handler, worked fine. but as soon as i selected the graphic and
grouped it and applied it as a background to subsequent cards, the
show grc "go next" with dissolve
Doesn't work. Nothing appears. . .but if i type go next in the message box
it will go to the next card and the grc is no longer hidden.

hide fld "HATitle1"
hide fld "HATitle2"
wait 1 sec
show button "leftFoot"
show button "rightFoot"
set the loc of button "leftFoot" to 742,570
set the loc of button "rightFoot" to 774,528
hide image "StandardMouseGray.gif"

set the loc of image "TitleGraphic_w_Lion.gif" to -555,-555

show fld "HAtitle2" with visual wipe right

move image "TitleGraphic_w_Lion.gif" from 800,-100 to 526,179 in 40 ticks
show grc "go next" with dissolve slowly

is this normal? Does grouping an object affect its responses to toggling
its vis prop with visual effect applied?
