This worked. . .not that I understand why, I am guessing that because the
group had only a single object that it resized to a single pixel or to
nothing at all? Anyway, problem solved. Not that testing reveals that only
the "with dissolve slowly" is affected, not the vis prop. With no effect
applied the buttom appears as expect on a show command, whether the
lockLocation is true or not for the group.
