There are hooks in all three supported GUI architectures to do this,
but MetaCard doesn't provide any access to them and so you'd have to
use an external to do this kind of thing.  You also have to be very
careful when writing an external that uses these hooks because they're
about the best way there is to completely disable your system ;-)
