Yes : text databases files one side, the MC TCP/IP applications server
on the second and, tree, optional fonctionalities like images
directories, SQL databases* (PHP3 usable there to link the external
database system to the MC applications server) or RealServer 8
videostreams*.

This help to improve performances and to secure the remote update
process of the server.

*I will probably need to use this method to update, dayly, some of the
MC text databases files with datas coming from an other server running
(at this time) a WinNT/SQLServer7 system.

**The new RealServer 8 seems to be able to serve QuickTime 4.1 streams
better than DSS does (DSS knows only UDP sockets).
