i had a similar problem, that almost drove me nuts... :(
Try this:
Open the Quicktime control-panel.
Select "Video" from the settings-popup.
Uncheck "Safe mode: GDI only" (this is my translation from the
german version, might sound a bit different) and check one or more,
i checked all, of the options.
That did the trick for me.
I had a tiny music-player-palette (just the qt-controller and a popup-btn)
floating over my stacks. When going to another card, the other card was
drawn in that tiny palette.
BIG fun...
Took me a couple of hours, but i solved it ;-)
