Is there a way of finding whether a sound card is installed on the system (Windows), perhaps using queryregistry? Also, I refer to mcmci.mc, a stack made available by Richard McLemale some time back- an MPEG player. While it ran OK on all Win 95 PC's I tested, on *some* Win 98 systems, the first frame comes alright, but the movie doesn't play. Any reasons? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
