Sure, could do, but you can't create a substack of the mainstack of an .exe
file that could be saved-- it would have to be a separate document . . .so
then that amounts to the same thing . .a separate data file on disk separate
from the standalone. And for the kinds of preferences we are considering a
line delimited text file seems sufficient and more efficient.
But certainly there could be other situations where the preferences' "depth
and structure" and a UI requirement allowing the user access-maintenance
would be more suited to a stack than a simple text file. We'll keep that in
mind. Right now the only data we are really considering is
"proxy settings,108.108.108.108:8080"
on line one of a text file which either exists or does not.
