I can't encourage you enough to set the Mac version's look and feel to
"Macintosh". Mac folks are very particular about their interface and
expect their software to follow Macintosh appearance guidelines. (Ask
Scott what the number one Macintosh user complaint about MetaCard is.
:)) Any Mac software that looks like a Windows app is often scorned and
scoffed at by users, and sometimes avoided entirely. The two versions
really should look different -- that's why the "look and feel" options
exist. Please tell me you didn't put the menu bar in the stack window
too. :)

I have found that the best way to deal with button appearance seamlessly
on both platforms is to use the "standard" type button. This draws
correctly according to the platform, being a rectangle for Windows and a
round-rect for Mac. It is okay to use "rectangle" style buttons in the
body of your stack also, if you prefer, but a few particular buttons
really need to be round-rect in order to follow Mac interface
guidelines, such as those in answer dialogs or other standard interface objects.
