I think MC will ask about saving if you try to close the stack window
with the close box, but not at any other time.
I definitely agree that MC should provide a warning before quitting if
the stack has been changed. This was one of the major causes of lost
work for me in MetaCard for the first year, coming as I do from a
HyperCard background where one never had to think about saving work. I
have trained myself now to save frequently, but I still sometimes lose
work inadvertently. I believe it is one of the issues that causes
newcomers to perceive MetaCard's interface as poorly designed.
