Boy, looks like someone using DSL/Cable needs to write something.
I've got ADSL from Qwest (the previously USWest section) and it works
great. Nice 'n peppy all the time.
However, most people will not see a need for broadband in their life.
"I only check my e-mail once in awhile" is a common line from many
people. "And I download a few songs off of that Napster thing once
in awhile." Well then, maybe they could use broadband after all...
It'll be a long time before broadband spreads out from techie-land to
mainstream America (and even longer for the rest of the world) .
Right now, designing for 56K modems is still a must, whether it's a
website or a piece of software.
