There is therefore no requirement that you should take the request directly
to Scott. But for the record, Runtime doesn't have any problem with doing
so if you think you might have something to add - just remember to bracket
your subject line with (confidential) as per our NDA. But note that we do
list the number of people that request the feature, the main reasons for the
request to Scott, and Scott does read this list.

I'd be inclined to favour adding functions rather than doing anything that
might interfere with the existing functionality. Getting the date in a
reliable format when using the existing functions is helpful because you
never had to guess which is the month and which is the day.

I'm not sure how this could be implemented, but I'll pass the request along.
Note that all of this stuff is much harder to do on all platforms than it is
to do simply on a Mac. This difficulty, and the scarcity of requests, is
why it isn't in there at present. The latter of those at least, has now
changed.

well-known Mac apps...
