I am still having problems with a stack containing players which play aiff files. Everyting runs fine on all the Macs I own, but my client is having problems with stuttering (on good days) and audio clipping virtually all the rest of the time. By clipping, I mean that a second or two of the sound plays and then abruptly cuts off. The remainder of the sound file never plays. This happens with all of the 100+ aiff files, regardless of their length. I cannot reproduce the problem on my three Macs using any of the aiff files. On the other hand, he cannot get good playback on any of the four Macs he's tried, which include several new iMacs. Today I get this from him: > everything worked perfectly. PERFECTLY! > then i restarted the computer. > it went right back to the way it was before.
