Thanks but since posting the message I found that files with .pdf extensions
automaticly are associated with Acrobat when on a Mac. In theory then I
should be able to use the same saving routine. Now I'm looking for the .csv
fileType ;-)

Sorry I didn't explain. I'm wondering if anyone had the script that would
locate Acrobat. I assume that you need to specify the full path name to
launch an app. I'm not a Mac native and don't no the ins and outs of using
the finder in scripts. In windows this info is stored in the registry.
