It sounds like you want your window to physically appear "above" all open
application windows, even if the user selects an alternate app.  If this is
the case, I would guess this is not possible without some special external
(Mac) or DLL (Win).  This has been requested numerous times on the SuperCard
list and as far as I know, no one has succeeded in doing this.

This is not the case.  The stack will appear in whatever mode you save it
in, palette, toplevel or other.

Also, if you have a need to change the mode of the stack you can open it
invisibly, hide it, or move it offscreen and make your changes.
