Using the MacOS PPC version, I copy text from a SimpleText document, go to a
field, and try the following:
Command (the apple) V
Paste (from the edit menu)
putting into the message box: "Select text of fld 1;paste"
Nothing works. However the message box returns "Can't paste (empty clipboard
or locked destination)". The clipboard was not empty. AFAIK, the destination
was not locked. Copying and pasting within the stack worked, but copying
from SimpleText does not work.
I just tried BBEdit 6.1 lite. Copying from that program and pasting into MC
works. Also works with TexEdit.
Has anyone else had trouble with SimpleText?
I'm glad I found something that would work.
BTW, 2.4 looks nice. Now if only we had a bit more information on how to use
SMTP....
