Tried on my Macintosh (G3 with system 9.1)
Pasting from SimpleText does not work.
Pasting from Microsoft word does not work.
In my case no errors are returned when pasting in message box.
Just no reaction.
Also, I can't find right syntax for following new feature

put alternateLanguages () -- returns "AppleScript"
do "beep" as AppleScript -- nothing happens
Can somebody give a clue on right syntax?
