Recently came across this site that re-invents things, transgressess
their original functions- worth a visit.
If you can get past their (unself-reconstructed) male centred use of
language, such as mankind...you will enjoy some of their re-inventions.

Inventgeek.
Inventgeek.com was founded with the sole purpose of celebrating the
creative powers of the geek! For eons man has been changing the world
around us to fit his needs, by harnessing primeval forces and tampering
with the just out of grasp in an attempt to better mankind.
The Quick Vibrating Lock-pick.
"It is in one of the ethically murky recesses of humanity that I have
felt like delving into with this project. Any type of project that
effects perception of security and stability of life is never popular.

it often shocks and scares people with its ease and sharp reality..."

The Anti-Printer...
Time for another flaming monstrosity…. How about nice Xerox laser
printer converted to a high volume automatic paper shredder? This
project was featured on 8/3/05 on toms hardware’s “how to” section. Now,
here it is, un-cut and un-molested by the Toms Hardware "editors" in all
its sarcastic glory!
