I not sure that contacting a buyer DURING or AFTER an auction is permitted..

EBay's wording includes "ended transactions " I got around this the other day when an eBayer was reselling a meteor-wrong. I asked him if he could verifiy that it was
genuine and that it looked like many of the meteor-wrongs recently sold on eBay. He came to the conclusion himself of returning the meteor-wrong to the original seller for a refund. However, if a buyer does not try to resell it, then contacting them is against eBay policy.
