Hi listees!
I have a problem and I'm hoping someone out
there will be able to help me out. I recently purchased some material
which was described as "Canyon Diablo Meteorites". Well, it
turns out that I got a nice big baggie full of shale that came in a box with no
return address. Grrrrr. I've kicked myself about a dozen times for
not checking out my source better. I feel like such a dope!
Well, now this person refuses to let me send
the material back for a refund, even though I have nicely explained why this
material is not what I wanted and I am unhappy with it.
Since I purchased the material with a credit
card, I have decided to dispute the charge with the credit card company on the
grounds that the material was misrepresented and that the seller refuses to take
the merchandise back for a refund. I am really hoping that this can be
resolved. Either way, I guess I learned a good lesson.
The credit card company is asking for
documentation explaining why the material sent is not the same as what was
described. I have surfed around, but cannot find a good source for an
article or explanation. I found a couple little things but nothing that
really says what I need it to say in language that a non-collector (the claims
person at Visa) would easily understand.
Does anyone know where I could find a source for
this? Or would some kind soul jot me off a paragraph I could use, and
quote the source? If anyone does provide me with anything, your name would
only go to Visa, not to the other party or anyone in the meteorite
community.
Grateful in advance,
Jeannie Devon
