What you might want to do is find one of the many references that explains how to tell a meteorite from a meteorwrong, go down the list, and check off all that apply (i.e., meteorites are magnetic to varying degrees. Shale is not.) Submit the list to the insurance company. You might also want to bust out the listing in the MetBull or other resource for Canyon Diablo and write a short note explaining that the material in this box DOES NOT fit the official description.
