Hi
All,
A few
days back Robert Cucchiara and Frank Prochaska expressed
interest
in
knowing where to find diamond files for field testing of specimens.
Nolan
Supply
is the best source I've found:
Just
click on "Abrasives", and scroll down to "Stones and Abrasive
Files".
Then
click on "Norton Diamond Sharpening Stones". These are
terrific,
not
that expensive, and made in the good old US of A. I have a set of
the
3 1/3"
long ones (coarse, fine and extra fine), each of which is
currently
on
sale for $19.06. Mine were about $16/ea when I bought them a
year
and a
half ago, and they still work fine (though my coarse stone is
ready
to be
replaced). These are a nice size for field use.
Best,
Rob
