Hi Robert and list,

I read you quite late but do confirm what said Matteo, Bernd and others. It is
by no doubt a meteorite. A superb one!
I tried to visualize some flow lines that would mean (partial) orientation (as
the overall shape could also suggest) but I am far from being sure just through
looking closely at the picture.

I would not say it is a meteorite already doncumented. If the fall was
witnessed 20 years ago, it has occurred in 1982-83, that does not correspond to
any of the 6 falls mentioned by Bernd. On the other hand, "the old man" knows
where it fell and it would be easy to check if other falls occurred nearby.

I have many H6's resembling that one but I wouldn't try to say more. Just a
feeling on looking at the picture.

The price you should ask would basically depend on the type, perhaps on the tkw
and on the history of the fall (that is by no means interesting). Try to have
it analyzed first. Also try to have a further search in the area.

Best wishes,

Zelimir
