Thanks for the Post Paul and Fred!

Very interesting that it was called a stony-iron probably just due to the inclusions - and furthermore that all stony-irons rather than the colorful olivine types were apparently called pallasites at that time (1924?) and this isn't just an artifact on the Ward's label, does anyone know when the definition of a pallasite was standardized ... or has it just gradually slid into the current Esquelesque usage?
