Wow! Well blow me down! And I thought those Bessy Specks I once bought were the "Smallest Meteorites"

The data I read on Revelstoke was different than what is reported in the Meteoritical Bulletin. Still, 10mg is very small, barely ponderable and almost a micrometeorite!

Kindest Regards,

Adam

Revelstoke had a recovered mass of about 1 g. Yamato 8333 is listed
as being 10 mg, which is only 1% as massive as Revelstoke.

I thought Revelstok Canada which was just a smudge in the snow held
the record.

I have a fully crusted Bensour from Morocco that only weighs .03 grams.

Thanks, Derek.

Hello,

This question came up on another forum.
What is the smallest meteorite known? And I mean: still recognizable
(classifiable) as a meteorite.
And no, I am not talking about the highly questionable micrometeorites
supposedly found in gutters.

I am sure one of you will know the answer!!
Thanks.
