Exactly.  Until it is formally classified, it is a rock.

However, most experienced hunters/dealers/wholesalers can usually
determine whether or not a rock is a meteorite.  But, classifications
should be done before any meteorite is labeled with a type.  At best,
it's an "unclassified meteorite, possible achondrite" - not unlike
Katol at the moment.

I have handled thousands of meteorites and I can use my experience to
make rough guesses on petrologic types when it comes to unclassified
material.  The meteorwrongs are also pretty easy to spot.

In defense of the original poster - there may a language barrier issue
here.  I had once received an email from a Moroccan seller and it
sounded threatening when I first read it, but later on I realized it
was a miscommunication due to the language issues.
