There is no such thing as "THE definition" of meteorite. However, there is a really good one published by Rubin and Grossman (1998): What is a meteorite? The pursuit of a comprehensive definition. Meteorite! 4:24-25. This definition does not require the accreting body to be Earth.

True, so a slight revision to the defintion will be needed:

A meteorite is an object from space that has reached the surface
of a planet.
