I've been extracting RNA using disposible 15ml conical falcon tubes.
Unfortunately, something has gone wrong with my rotor, and the
centrifuge no longer recognizes it. The only other rotor I have that
will spin at the required speeds doesn't fit disposable tubes. It takes
the old fashioned reusable Oak Ridge tubes.

I had been using the disposible tubes to avoid RNAse contamination.
Is there an effective method to remove RNAse from reusable tubes?
I have both PPCO and polycarbonate tubes at my disposal.

The only step that really has to be RNAse free is the alcohol precipitation.
Of course polycarbonate doesn't like alcohols, so I'm probably
stuck with PPCO. How can I get these clean enough to precipitate
RNA in? Thanks
-Ed
