Hey, Late reply, but figure someone will find this useful.
Yes -- deploying to RHEL 7 is possible, but there are quite a few differences and you'll need to do more than just change apt to yum in the fabfile: different package names, config directories, systemd/systemctl instead of upstart/service, Red Hat file permissions are slightly more locked down, etc. Here is a version of the fabfile, adjusted to work when pointed at a RHEL 7 derived system, in my case CentOS 7. https://gist.github.com/cjknowles/2ccfff9aa789788a5ba69eab205e0784 There are a lot of changes and the easiest way to understand will be to compare side-by-side with the original. Two of the more significant changes are that this uses a rudimentary systemd service file instead of supervisord and an OrderedDict for the templates object, to control the order they're processed. Note -- will only work with SELinux turned off and I've only adjusted and tested for an rsync deployment. I am working on an SELinux confined version, and there are workaround-level instructions easily found online, but I want to correctly confine Gunicorn before sharing.
