Some help can be obtained to avoid distortion when projecting to small
radius surfaces.

It is a lengthy process, but when it absolutely has to be done ......

Group the projection elements and the surface you will project to. Use Edit,
Transform, Rotate to turn the surface so that the radius of curvature lies
along the X axis. Remove the surface from the group and use Edit, Transform,
Scale to reduce the length of the X axis of the projection elements by the
ratio of its current length divided by the circumference of its projected
footprint on the part (usually a number like .9). Leave the Y and Z axis
ratio at 1.000 . Pick a reference point in the center of the projection
elements. Put the surface back in the group and rotate the geometry back to
where it was originally.

After projecting, use View, Dynamic View, Rotate to look at the result. Undo
and repeat if necessary.

For particular clients, you may want to treat each projection element
individually.

It only costs a few cents more to go first class.
