I just spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to get a hold of someone at SDRC regarding license keys and all I got was useless voice mail menus. What I should have done in the first place is to write this group where the experts are willing to help and not hide behind a recording.
Anyway, I recently replaced a failing drive with a new one. I copied the contents of the original drive onto the new drive and immediately submitted the license key request for the existing Advanced 3D along with a new request for Production Turning. The two requests had different server codes. I received a license key for the new request (turning) but was told that the server code for the previously installed product I copied over (amill) was invalid. Is the license key utility, which previously existed on the original drive, just looking at a .ini or .dat file and retrieving the old server code rather than getting a new server code from the new drive? If so, How do I force it to retrieve a new server code? Or, can I just type in the server code from the license key that did work? Any comments, thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also, has anyone out there mastered the settings in the IGES converter or is there a list of what effect the various settings have on the output (.pm4) file? David S.
