Johnny, Check your Windows display properties for the number of colors used. SmartCAM will run with 16 colors but it looks like hell, especially in Show Cut. You should use at least 256 colors with 32,000 or more preferred. Check the previous message listed below for more information on a Config utility shipped with SmartCAM v11 to help adjust your colors.

There is configuration program that provides a visual method of setting certain properties of the SMARTCAM.INI file. It is included with SmartCAM v11 and is located at D:\Tec_supp\Config\Config.zip on the SmartCAM v11 CD. To install and use this utility, unzip the file CONFIG.ZIP into a temporary directory and then run its SETUP.EXE program. The files will be installed in the directory you choose and you will be able to run the utility by using the file CONFIG.EXE. You can also create an icon or shortcut to this file to make accessing the program easier. The utility will read system variables to find the location of the files it needs. You will be able to set GUI colors, paths to files, menu location, code file output options, fonts, hot keys, etc without manually editing the SMARTCAM.INI file. Most changes made with this utility will not be applied until the next time a SmartCAM application is opened. To get the most out of SmartCAM's 16 color palette, set the number of colors in your Windows display settings higher than 256. This will allow you more flexibility in what colors you can define in SmartCAM.
