Michael, all,

The diagnostics window always starts with "stuff" in it (NT platform only). The
dll stuff in particular. It doesn't pop out front unless something's gone awry.
You can always open it after you've fired up SmartCAM under Utility - Diagnostics.

If it starts popping out front but you can still run it ... it isn't a serious
problem. Check the text at the end of the window for what may be going on (bad or
missing fmt or lst file for example). It's when it pops and you can't continue
that you'll have to take action (bad or missing def or dll file for instance).
What's good about it is that even though you can't continue, at least you can view
the diagnostics window to find out what puked.
