Even though I sort of started the "speed" dialogue with my question, one thing comes back from distant memory. Wasn't it that some of the speed issues were related to the hardware locks?

Hi Dave,
Yup...that's it way back then, on a Apple System! Yes, I'm sure it has to
be very much different (and better!), now.
As far as the fast systems and S/C.....I seem to remember about a year ago
or so, some people in this group I believe were having some difficulty using S/C
on some of the 400-450 mHz systems.....anyone have more follow-up input? I would
like to upgrade...but I do not want to up-grade myself out of S/C at the moment!

Ernie,
How long since you used Gibbs? Is this back in the BCT days? My guess is it's
changed alot.

Hey,
I finally gave up on alt.cnc because of all the ranting and raving going
on....I just do not have the time to filter thru all the reteric (sp?), that
seems to go on there daily.
I've used both...S/C (since ver. 3), and Gibbs....I do like S/C better,
however sooneror later won't our PC's outgrow S/C. I've already heard of some
systems being to fast for S/C.
Back to work now!
