The modem should be fine, but be careful with the memory. We have our own IT
dept. and had some memory in stock that just wouldn't work. We primarily
have Gateway boxes, (the memory was aftermarket, not Gateway) but got a
couple of Dells with some software deals. I don't know the details. Just
make sure the memory you get is compatible. The Dell boxes seem to be
working just fine. Also, don't skimp on the video, in my experience that
seems to be the next important part (after the processor) of a good machine
for CAD/CAM applications.
