I
can't do this because I need the surface data. The dxf file will only give
me 2-d info on the part.

Try exporting as DXF file rather than IGES

When I create a part in Desktop (3.0) I normally explode the part and then
"igesout" to export an iges file. I then import the part into FFM. 9 times
out of 10 I end up losing a surface or two. Is this something anyone else
has a problem with? Does anyone have a solution they can suggest?
Thanks in advance.
Grant.
