Dave, I agree with you whole-heartedly! But after 10 years of using SmartCAM, I have not found a reliable way of placing all the needed operator instructions WITHIN the PM4 file (a question that I have over the years in this forum and to Point Control/SDRC).
We do VERY short runs of very expensive nuclear components and cannot afford to have ANY communication slip-ups between Mfg. Eng. and the shop floor across two shifts. If you come up with anything, please let me know. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
