It is much easier to just use the volumeid.exe program.

Before you format your hard disc note the volume serial number when you do the command DIR it should be a 8 digit hexadecimal number ie ABCD-EF12. 2. Format your hard disc 3. (This is the hard bit.) Edit your hard disc volume serial number back to the previous Hexadecimal number. 4. Now Smartcam will work on this hard disc with the previous licence key :-) If anybody is interested in this I will spend the time writing how to change your Volume serial number. It is very dangerous as you are altering the hard disc at system level, one mistake and *)&^$%&"%*
�$)&(*&%"� is all you will get! But if you have just formatted your hard disc there is nothing you can lose as you can always format it again.
