I was hoping someone would share the ".SC" file used with the original Communicate software that came with Smartcam to send files to my Haas. I use it on every other machine but since the Haas came with a floppy drive (and was a bit further away) I have just used the floppy up to this point. Now I'm planning to place my PC close enough to the Haas which would make running a cable more realistic and will need to set up the parameters to communicate and was looking to save some time working them out (though the book has the specifics for machine, I'm concerned about trouble with the character strings in the Comm. settings).
Second question, has anyone used the Communicate software to run DNC to any machine? I've never tried with any of the other machines (because they do not have the DNC option) but since I have used the DNC option using the Floppy on the Haas (mill) it makes me want to try running DNC over the cable. Any comments on this?
