As far
as I know, there is just no way to reliably import R14 dwgs. You have
to save them as R13 or R12. Personally, I've found R12 to be very reliable. The
only other choice would be to open the dwg using another software such as Rhino
3D as an intermediate step, and exporting the dwg from there. Rhino gives you
many choices for export formats. R12 through Acad2000, IGES, etc. But if you
already have Autocad, the simplest solution is to to do a "save as" in the R13
or R12 format.
